Medium Voltage Power Cables
OVERVIEW
Medium voltage cables have a voltage rating of 3.6/6kV,6/10kV,8.7/15kV,12/20kV and 18/30kV.
Number of cores: Single Core and Three Cores.
Process control: CCV(Catenary-type Continuous Vulcanizer) Lines.
Standards followed: IEC60502-2,BS6622/7835,ANSI/ICEA S-94-649 and customised standards.
XLPE Insulated Medium Voltage Power Cables are manufactured with plain annealed stranded copper/aluminum for conductors,semi-conductive compound for both conductor screen and insulation screen where one process triple extrusion applied to conductor screen,XLPE insulation and insulation screen, plain annealed copper tapes/wires for metallic screen. Three-cored cables are laid together where the metallic screens of the cores shall be in touch with each other,such that the screen is electrically continuous throughout the cable length,and protected with an inner sheath of PVC/PE/LSZH, armoured with steel round wires/tapes and single core cables are armoured with aluminium wires and finally protected by an outer layer of PVC/PE/LSZH sheath. Non-armoured cables are without the additional inner sheath and armouring. PVC/PE/LSZH sheathing of all cables are UV protected and are Flame Retardant.
Range : 1C x 35mm2 to 1C x 1200mm2 , 3C x 35mm2 to 3C x 400mm2 .
